I'll be set up at Bolinas Park for both days of the festival, June 13–14. Come see new originals, grab a print, and watch me paint live.
This year's booth will feature work from the Surf Art and Marin Wildlife series, plus a few surprises I've been holding back for this show.
When I got the call that my design was selected for the 2026 festival poster, I was halfway through a completely different piece. I dropped everything. This was the one I'd been waiting for.
I approached it like a little Fairfax storybook — a blast-from-the-past collage of local icons, musicians, and characters, with tiny moments tucked into every corner. The kind of piece you can stare at for five minutes and still find something new.
Prints will be available in multiple sizes, and I'll be signing everything on-site. If you want a custom commission, this is the best time to talk in person.

When I got the call that my design was selected for the 2026 Fairfax Festival poster and t-shirt, I was halfway through a completely different piece. I dropped everything. This was the one I'd been waiting for.

The original was painted on wood panel with acrylics and spray paint. Prints are available now in multiple sizes — and I'll be signing everything on-site at the festival in June.

After months of testing papers, inks, and shipping methods, the print-to-order shop is officially live. Every art print is now made to order on archival paper — pick your size, and it ships within 5 business days.
No minimum orders, no warehoused inventory, no waste. Each print is produced one at a time with the same care I put into the originals. Giclee quality on heavyweight cotton rag.
Head over to the Art Prints page to browse what's available. More designs are being added every week.

Skip the art-store markup. I'll walk you through my recipe for heavy-body molding paste using joint compound, PVA glue, and a few studio staples.
This stuff dries rock-hard, takes paint beautifully, and costs a fraction of the brand-name versions. I use it on nearly every textured piece.

Glass is an unforgiving surface. Here's how I prep it, which paints stick, and the trick I use to keep acrylics workable for hours longer than usual.
If you've ever had paint bead up or peel off glass mid-session, this one's for you.

Before color, there's value. I'll show you how I use vine charcoal and compressed sticks to block in light and shadow before ever picking up a brush.
This is the foundation exercise I come back to every time my paintings start feeling flat.

Wood gives you rigidity, texture, and a warmth that canvas can't match. But it demands different prep. Here's when I choose each — and why.
